Hurricane Katrina: Canal Street 2005

New Orleans became a ghost town immediately after the shelters were filled with the final refugees. After serving with the American Red Cross's mental health team, I photographed the devastated city as a documenter, bearing witness to one of the greatest human travesties our country has ever seen. All who remained were the branches of the U.S. military, select media, several heavily armed rougue snipers and myself.
